"Under a spreading chestnut-tree The village smithy stands; The smith, a mighty man is he, With large and sinewy hands; And the muscles of his brawny arms Are strong as iron bands."
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Blacksmithing;
A blacksmith is a person who creates objects from wrought iron or steel by forging the metal; that is, by using tools to hammer, bend, and cut. Blacksmiths produce objects such as fireplace screens, tools, log cradles, grates, grilles, railings, gates, light fixtures, furniture, sculpture, curtain rods, jewelry, etc.
Who We Are:
Crazy Mountain Forge was established by a family in Montana with a dream of sharing their craftsmanship and artwork with others. Deron, the Blacksmith in our shop has been hand forging custom ironwork since 1998 in a well established shop. He is a graduate of the Turley Forge Blacksmithing School in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He decided to go out on his own to create heirloom quality treasures for those who choose his custom ironwork.
